About LC Cherry Designs

My love for the arts began some time ago.  One might say that it was when I was first handed a crayon.  I was drawing before I could walk and my love for drawing, creating, designing, crafting, and painting flourished throughout my life.

It was always about art for me and I learned to design and illustrate at the Art Center College of Design (Pasadena, CA).  I’ve perfected my art over the years.

I worked as Head Designer for Pillows of California, creating designs and hand-painting pillows during the late ‘80s and early ‘90s.  After that, I worked for a Beverly Hills gift shop, painting and personalizing gifts for a decade.  I have a keen sense of color selection and know right away when something isn’t right aesthetically.

I’ve been making cards for family and friends throughout the years and just recently began honing my watercolor painting.  I now have a passionate love affair with my paints, brushes, and paper.  I look forward to painting every day.

I would love to spread the joy of my custom,

hand-painted watercolor cards with you.

About My Hand-painted watercolor Cards

The uniqueness of each card is important to me.  I did not want to create one card and make copies of it because the beauty of it being hand-painted would be lost.  Each one of my cards is its own, individual work of art.  I use the finest paints, paper, and brushes. I use quality card stock - smooth and textured, along with other crafting supplies when I believe it will enhance the card.  Each painting is mounted onto a printed background paper.  The card is signed by me and the back of the card tells the month and year it was created.  Most of my designs come from my love of florals and others were suggested by friends and family who wanted specific designs (the unicorn was a personal request from my granddaughter Abbie).  Almost every design may be customized with up to 3 words. I am very open to customer feedback and love to work with my clients on custom designs. If you desire a card with more than 3 words, I can design a "Beyond Custom" card for you.

Please note that variations will exist between what you see on my site and what you receive.  If you request a specific color noted on my site, the design will be similar to the picture but not necessarily the same.  Colors, design, and background papers will vary along with the color of card stock that is used.  All cards measure up to my high standards and all papers are selected to make your card a treasure.

I hope you enjoy your cards as much as I enjoyed creating them for you.

A Side Note

Since my cardstock color varies, occasionally you will receive a card on dark-colored cardstock.  I suggest writing on that card with an opaque white pen, or a silver or gold metallic pen.  I use a white uni-ball Signo for best results.
